6. A Problem Halved
Talk it through. Sometimes the best stress reducer is simply taking through a problem with a friend, colleague or someone close to you. The act of talking it out and getting support from someone else you can recognise the solution yourself. It is a way of blowing off steam and reducing stress. Create a support system of trusted people you can rely on and they can rely on you as well. Be aware in the end there might not be a final solution but that’s alright. Cultivate allies just knowing you have one or more people you can count on.

7. Laughter
Ha! Ha! said the clown. There is no need to be a clown to see humour in situations. When you and others find things are getting heavy or too serious find ways of breaking the tension with a joke or laughter through a funny story. Humour open avenues in the mind and provides a greater number of solutions to any problems. Remember in the introductory section above ‘What does it do’ it explained that stress ignites the ‘fight or flight’ reaction. Think about this, do you really want just two fearful options to solve problems in your life and limit your lifestyle, happiness and wellbeing or do you want a million solutions?

8. No Detail
Nobody is perfect. If you are obsessed over detail and need to make sure everything is perfect you need to stop now or understand your obsession will create tons of stress because you will never reach nirvana in your work or tasks. Change your motto to ‘simply the best’ and start being outstanding knowing a hiccup along the way will happen.

9. Be outstanding
Can you say at the end of each day you have ‘given it your all’. If you can well done? You are in the minority and deserve congratulations. If on the other hand you are like the 99% of the rest of us and can say on some days ‘I could have done better’ then there is room for improvement. Maintain a positive attitude and avoid those without one. Being negative sucks energy out of you and depletes your resistance. It has the same effect of the ‘fight or flight’ reaction and limits your lifestyle, happiness and wellbeing. Develop a positive attitude.
